1. How do I add my own guides?
-
Just sign up for an account and you can add your own guides right away. Once you add a guide, there will be an approval process in which the Administrator or Editor will look through your guide before accepting it.
-
Click on the “Recover Password” link on the side menu. It will send the password reseting link to the email associated with the account.
3. Can I change my display name?
-
Yes. Just go into your profile and change your Display Name. Alternatively, if you want a different name than in what’s available in the Display Name, type a new name out in the Nickname box, then choose that new name in the Display Name drop down.
4. Can I change my log-in name?
-
No you cannot.
5. What is the Bio and Avatar for?
-
Your bio will be shown on all the approved guides you submit to the web site. This is a mini description of yourself. If you registered with a Gravatar-ready email, your Gravatar image will be displayed along with your mini-bio in each of your guides. Otherwise, you can upload an 80 pixel by 80 pixel avatar of your choice onto the site.
Your avatar will also show up with each comment you make.
-
“Copper” reflects the Copper currency from World of Warcraft. These are essentially points you get for submitting comments and guides. You get 1 Copper for every comment you make and 100 Copper for every approved guide you submit. Copper points are meant to help members gauge their contribution.
7. How are guides being approved and rejected?
-
Aside from common sense, guides must maintain some form of English literacy. Please look at the Posting Guidelines.
- terrible spelling, grammar, punctuation
- does not follow the basic Posting Guidelines formatting
- contains prohibited links and information
- is not an original guide made by the submitting contributor
Guides that are rejected can be because of one or a combination of the following reasons:
Another reason your guide may be rejected is if there are already enough existing guides that cover the topic you’re trying to cover. Different perspectives are fine, but know that your new guides should have substantial proven differences and/or substantial supporting ideas for the guides already on the site.
