This is the complete list of where the different Ore is found all over the continents of World of Warcraft. This list was compiled tediously by the help of Gatherer, WoWWiki, MapWoW and from my own traveling experiences. Therefore, this is an original primary mining and secondary prospecting guide. If you find another guide that mimics the info here in the same or very similar format, please give me a shout and I’ll sick MeowMeowSan on them.

The abbreviations associated to each region are as follows: NW = North West, NE = North East, N = North, C = Central, SW = South West, SE = South East, S = South, W = West, E = East, Sp = Spread-out. Note that you will still find designated ore in other areas of the same region, but the listed abbreviation denotes the higher concentration.

The bracketed numbers mean (mining skill minimum/prospecting skill minimum). If there is only one number, it represents the mining skill and prospecting is unavailable.

On August 21st, Blizzard announced a third expansion for the World of Warcraft game. It will feature two new races and a new secondary profession. It is rumored to be out in November 2010.

WARNING: there is NO Alpha nor Beta testing for the Cataclysm expansion. Alpha testing is NOT available to non-Blizzard developers. Beta would ONLY be available roughly half a year before the commercial release of the expansion. Also, if you find links on sites like YouTube that promise beta and alpha testing, those are scams regardless of the ‘positive’ comments made on those pages. Above is a picture of my twink warrior getting the best of 9 hunters. Satisfying as it was, the question I’m trying to ask is: Why are there so many hunters in WSG at level 19 nowadays ?

I just wanted to create a discussion about this point. I don’t claim to have all the answers, and some of my reasoning might be completely off the mark.
