It has been awhile since I updated the site with new guides and material. The reason is two fold: 1) being swamped with other work and 2) ThoughtRobots.com is going through some changes. I have decided to split each game into its own designated section. Members can log in once and comment or add their piece regardless of which section they’re in. This is particularly useful to rid clutter and confusion.

There are no set dates when this will happen, but I would like to get on the upgrades by the end of this month.

Thought Robots gets a total site re-design. This web site has now expanded into other massive multiplayer online games and is now getting ready to include guides for the upcoming MMO, Aion.

TR will now also incorporate MMO game reviews. Multiple overall-game review submissions of one game will not be accepted, but different factor reviews will. “Different factor reviews” would be specific looks into an area of an MMO game – eg: the PvP factor, the Auction House, the character creation, etc. These DF reviews must be detailed and illustrate every aspect of that factor of the game. Simplistic reviews will not be approved.

After hours upon hours upon hours of tweaking the site that works for both Internet Explorer 7+ and Mozilla-based browsers, the site is up again along with Copper installed. Copper is a way to visualize a member’s contribution to the site through his/her comments and guide posts. Read the FAQ for further details.

Guide post ratings installed. Each guide can now be rated by anyone. Ratings are logged by a site cookie and the rater’s IP address.

You can now upload your own avatar. This is an 80 pixel by 80 pixel image that represents you in all your comments and any guides you post up. If your account was registered with your Gravatar email, your Gravatar will show up automatically. Otherwise, you can upload one yourself.

Along with the avatars, you can also optionally enter a blurb about yourself in your Profile. This blurb will show up at the bottom of every guide you post on the site.

This web site uses the “Powered by Thottbot” java ‘pop-up’ that displays item information. Just hover your mouse cursor over any linked weapon, armour or quest item here and a java ‘pop-up’ will display the info. Eg: Mark of the Syndicate.
