- The name “Thought Robots” parodies www.thottbot.com’s own domain name. Thought Robots was originally an experimental guild founded and created by Madrushian from the Thottbot forums sometime in mid 2008. Unfortunately, the guild didn’t last very long due to the members’ playing times being too varied and having their own responsibilities and interests with their main toons elsewhere.
Sometime later, Coz752 had suggested that I create a Wiki-styled web site that holds information from the Stickies. After fooling around with MediaWiki and another similar CMS, I finally decided to use WordPress as the CMS as I am much more familiar with this system than anything else.
The purpose of ThoughtRobots.com is to centralize all the free guides and resources that WoW players can easily access. As time goes on, I will probably expand ThoughtRobots.com into more than just World of Warcraft.
Furthermore, I will guarantee all visitors that this web site will be void of non-gaming related ads. This includes online gambling which I consider a nuisance. If you find malware or spyware ads and pop-ups, please contact me below.
- All new TR members can contribute to this web site with their own guides. After submitting one, their guides are held for proofing. Once everything checks out, your guide will be shown publicly. By submitting the guide to this web site, the author agrees to allow ThoughtRobots.com to use and display the guide. However, the guide will actually still belong to the original author and can at any time, edit or remove the guide on their whim.
All the guides are all copyrighted by their respective authors and unless otherwise stated, cannot be reproduced elsewhere.
The request with these guides is that it cannot contain links to paid Power Leveling, Gold, Botting, Guides and obvious scams like pyramid schemes. It also cannot contain selling, trading and buying accounts, toons, codes for special in-game items and other in-game items. Private server advertising is also forbidden.
Lastly, I would prefer it if contributors do not link to web sites with legitimately free guides that contain ads to these sort of nuisances. Eg: WoW-Heroes is an excellent character profiler, but it contains Gold Buying and Power Leveling service ads.
